2 Day First Aid Requalification
Who is this qualification for?
This course is aimed at learners who hold a First Aid at Work qualification which is due to expire. When booking this course you must provide evidence that you currently hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate. This will also need to be shown to the trainer on the first day of the course.
How Long Will It Take?
To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 14 hours of learning, typically over two days, with a minimum contact time of 12 hours.
TOPICS COVERED
The requalification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident and recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness. The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED and assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis.
AsSessment Method
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.
QUALIFICATION
Upon successful completion, you will receive a First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate valid for three years which is accredited by Highfield.
